• Delaware River Trip will take place on Aug. 5, leaving from the front gates at Ocean County Park, Route 88, Lakewood, at 7 a.m. Canoe the scenic Delaware River with certified instructors. • Howell Farmers Advisory Committee has issued a reminder that the Township Council will hold a special meeting to discuss the proposed rezoning at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at Howell Middle School North, Squankum-Yellowbrook Road.

• Harry O’Claire Chapter No. 637 of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) will hold its annual picnic on Aug. 16 at Pine Park, Lakewood.
