Golf Classic’ssponsors’ praised

To the editor

We wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the Hillsborough Education Foundation 2001 Golf Classic such a success.
The HEF realized a profit of approximately $45,000 this year, the highest level ever. And as those who have worked with us in the past know, what is raised in Hillsborough stays in Hillsborough. The commitment of our sponsors and players will enable us to grow further in our leadership position as the organization giving the largest amount of scholarship money to Hillsborough students, along with supporting teacher mini grants, programs for senior citizen, and other educational initiatives.
We thank our Grand Sponsors Nestle Foods and Procacci Brothers Sales, along with Frank Donio Inc. I.S. E. America, W.W.S. Inc, Wilentz, Goldman and Spitzer, P.A., Wohl, Shafman, Lieberman Corp; Dinner sponsors A and J Produce and Citrus World; Lunch Sponsors Dauito Produce and Sorrento, Cocktail Reception Sponsors Edy’s Ice Cream and Pavero Cold Storage; and Beverage Cart Sponsor Friendship.
We are also grateful to all of our Gold Sponsors including Baxter Healthcare Corp., Belle Mead Physical Therapy, P.A., Bentley Jewelers, Boyar and Sandler School Communications, E.C.S. Corp., The Fernald Family, Grinspec Consulting, Laidlaw, M.P.S. Marketing, Advantage Bank, Nan Kim Park, P.C., The Pacesetter Group, Paine Webber, Plum Rose, P.N.C. Bank, The Sheridan Family, Shoprite of Hillsborough, United Trust Bank, W.R. Huff Asset Management, and Amboy National Bank.
We also thank Belle Mead Garage for risking a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser to anyone getting a hole in one on the 17th hole, although there weren’t any winners.
Finally, we appreciate all the time and effort put in by the many senior citizen volunteers in our community who helped make this event run so smoothly.
We look forward to more good fun and fellowship at next year’s Taste of Hillsborough on April 7, and the Golf Classic on Sept. 24, 2002.
