Middletown Babe Ruth Baseball/Softball League will be accepting registrations for its 2002 spring baseball/softball season on Nov. 17 from noon to 3 p.m., and Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Middletown Library on New Monmouth Road. The Hazlet Bombers, a U9 boys’ tournament soccer team, took second place at the T.R.I.C. Halloween Tournament held at Riverwood Park in Toms River Oct. 21 and 28. The team played four games, scoring 12 goals while only allowing two. Their record for the tournament was 2-1-1. The team members are Taylor Smith, Joseph Young, Matt Frailey, Ryan Devlin, Ryan Lynch, John Minervini, Jared Belasco, Tim Kelly, Danny Mubanda, Mark Latham, Michael Breen and Frank Quagliotti. The team is coached by Ed Young and his son, Joshua.
