Aldo Elfo

   HILLSBOROUGH — Aldo E. Elfo died Thursday, March 28, in Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. He was 79.
   Born in New York, he lived at the family farm in Hillsborough since 1924.
   Mr. Elfo was employed as a mechanic for Hercules, Inc. in Sayreville.for 36 years, retiring in 1984. He was a former part-time special police officer for Hillsborough from 1957 to 1986.
   He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the campaigns of Germany, France and Austria.
   He was a member of the Belle Mead Farmers CoOp.
   His wife, Frances (Dolchy) Elfo, is deceased, as well as a daughter, Patricia Rosenberg.
   Surviving are two daughters, Carol Elfo of Hillsborough and Janet Crisafi of Bridgewater; one son, Jeffrey of Hillsborough; one brother, Felice of Hillsborough; and five grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held April 2, at Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Middlebush.
