Ocean County College, Toms River, offers benefits for older adults. Choose from the Silver Edge Card or Ocean County College’s Academy for Lifelong Learning for discounts on credit and noncredit courses, fine arts and planetarium shows, special events, trips and more.
The Silver Edge Card is available at the Ocean County Office on Senior Services, 1027 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, or by calling (732) 929-2091 or 1-800-929-2091.
Benefits and/or requirements of the free Silver Edge Card are: Recipients must be Ocean County residents 62 years or older who are fully retired; reduced admission to the Robert J. Novins Planetarium sky shows; reduced admission price to Fine Arts Center productions; free admission to Ocean County College sporting events; and tuition discounts for credit courses at $33.50 per credit with no college student fee.
Silver Edge Card must be presented at time of registration and enrollment is on a space-available basis only.

Benefits and/or requirements of becoming a member of this are: $30 membership fee; must be adult 55 years of age or older; reduced admission prices to Robert J. Novins Planetarium sky shows; reduced admission price to Fine Arts Center productions; free admission to Ocean County College sporting events; tuition discounts for credit courses at $28 per credit, no college student fee, enroll anytime, no restrictions; must present academy membership card at time of registration; tuition discounts for noncredit courses, save $5 off regular price; educational programs tailored to the interests of Academy members are often offered in adult communities; free financial management seminars; Ocean County College library privileges, Ocean County College pool privileges; 10 percent discount at college bookstore; and discounts on student center sponsored trips and activities.
