Volunteers needed to visit with lonely residents.

MONROE The Residence at Forsgate, an assisted living residence for seniors on Forsgate Drive, is seeking volunteers to visit with lonely residents.
Michele Linke, the residence’s director of activities, said that while many of the residents are near family, many others are far from their families and some have no families.
She said social contact is important in helping residents maintain a positive attitude and has an effect on physical well-being as well.
She said time to schedule visits is flexible.
