Shirley T. Nurko

   HAMILTON — Shirley T. Nurko, 73, died Wednesday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Hightstown, she was a longtime resident before moving to Mercerville in 1985.
   She was a 1946 graduate of Hightstown High School and attended Rider College.
   Mrs. Nurko was a secretary to the president of Unexcel Corp., Cranbury, and a secretary for the child study team at Millstone Township Elementary School.
   She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, Mercerville, and enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to Atlantic City.
   Daughter of the late Fred and Elsie Lewis Tornquist, she is survived by her husband of 48 years, Arthur S. Nurko; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindi and Gary Pivovarnick of Hamilton; a son, Barry Nurko of Robbinsville; a sister, Betty Lou Koch of Hightstown; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Fredrick and Viola Tornquist of Hightstown and Joel and Evelyn Tornquist of Spotswood; two grandchildren, Rob and Erin Pivovarnick; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was Monday from Saul Colonial Home, Hamilton Square.
   Funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, Mercerville.
   Entombment was in Princeton Memorial Park Mausoleum, Washington Township.
