KENNETH WILLIAM HATHAWAY, 88, of The Villages, Howell, died June 22 at Centra-State Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Jersey City, he had lived in the Iselin section of Woodbridge before moving to Howell 17 years ago. Mr. Hathaway was the chief housing inspector for the township of Woodbridge for 20 years before his retirement 23 years ago. Prior to that he was employed for 25 years by the M.W. Kellogg Co., Jersey City. Mr. Hathaway was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, South Pacific theater of operations. He was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township; a member of the American Legion Post No. 471, Iselin; and was active in the Democratic Party in Jersey City and Iselin. Mr. Hathaway is survived by his wife, Anna May (née Gavin); two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and John Rocco of Freehold, and Elizabeth and Edward Purcell of Farmingdale; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Betty Hathaway of Bridgewater, and John and Barbara Hathaway of East Brunswick; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Evelyn and Dominick Scorna-vacca of Stuart, Fla., and Anne Cassidy of Cypress, Texas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. ANGELINA CAIAFA, 77, of Howell, died June 25 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Manhattan, N.Y. She was a bookkeeper for the Queens County Savings Bank, Flushing, N.Y., retiring 12 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Farmingdale, and had been elected recently to the Monmouth County Republican Committee. She was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Caiafa. She is survived by a brother, Caesar Caiafa of Memora; and three sisters, Rae Todesco of Brooklyn, N.Y., Amelia Sanclimenti of Freehold and Italia Yarmosh of Swiftwater, Pa. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, Queens, N.Y.

JAYMIE ALEXANDER LAMANTIA, 2, of Howell, died June 25 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Jaymie was born in New Brunswick. He is survived by his parents, Michael S. and Denise (née Lewandowski) Lamantia; two brothers, Michael and Ryan; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Barbara Lamantia of Manalapan; his maternal grandparents, Ken and Betty Lewandowski of Matawan; his great-grandmother, Helen Lewandowski of Sayreville; and his aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Farmingdale, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. PATRICIA J. DREDGER, 68, of Howell, died June 27 at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York City. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved to The Villages, Howell, in 1997. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Henry; two sons, Scott of Cranbury and Glenn of Middletown; a sister, Judith Lamberti of Florida; and four grandchildren. Interment took place at Brig. JEAN P. SHARESHIAN, 69, of Middletown, died June 27 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in North Bergen, she relocated to Middletown in 1967. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Shareshian in 1985; and her brother, Eugene Ernest. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Jennie Shareshian of Middletown, with whom she lived; David and Eva Shareshian of Jackson; Alan and Lisa Shareshian of Bridgewater; and Paul and Susan Shareshian of Jackson; her daughter, Lynn Shareshian at home in Middletown; six grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and her niece. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.

THOMAS A. HAYDEN SR., 78, of Middletown, died June 30 at home. Born in New York City, he lived in Middletown Township for 52 years. He was a member of the Metal Lathers Union, Local No. 43, New York, for 45 years, retiring in 1988. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Mae Lawless Hayden in 1987. He is survived by three sons, Thomas Hayden Jr. and Brian Hayden, both of Port Monmouth, and John Hayden of Albrightsville, Pa.; four daughters, Susan Eastmond of Tinton Falls, Patricia Brady of Jackson, Anna Mae Hayden of South Riding, Va., and Nancy McConville of the River Plaza section of Middletown; two brothers, William Hayden of Port Monmouth, and Vincent Hayden of Prattsville, N.Y.; two sisters, Elizabeth Flynn of Emerson, and Eleanor Zarkivach of Keyport; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

RAYMOND KLUS, 61, of Englishtown, died June 24 at Centrastate Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Newark, he resided in Englishtown for the past 20 years. Mr. Klus was employed as a courier for the Parcel Place messenger service, Englishtown, for five years, and was a bartender at the Jackson V.F.W. Post 4703. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Freehold American Legion Post 54. Surviving is a brother, Joeseph Klus of Harrington, Neb.; and thrtee sisters, Cecelia Winters of Fayetteville, N.C., Beverly Colpaert of Manchester, and Helen Lorzik of Budd Lake. Internment was private.

SEGLA CERENOV, 86, of Howell, died June 24 at home. She was born in Russia and had lived in Freehold before moving to Howell Township in 1960. She was a member of the Rashi-Gempil-Ling Buddhist Temple, Howell. She was also a homemaker. Her husband, Cherik Cerenov, died in 1970. Surviving are a son, Sam Cerenov of Howell; three daughters, Nancy Schick, Sandy Sochorow, and Maria Muschajew, all of Howell; ten grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Services were held at the Rashi-Gempil-Ling Buddhist Temple, Howell. Interment was in St. Vladimir’s Russian Orth-odox Cemetery, Jackson.

THEODORE T. PILESKY, 58, of Howell, died June 25 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in the Fords section of Woodbridge and lived there before moving to Howell 34 years ago. He was a graduate of Perth Amboy Vocational-Technical High School, class of 1961. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Studebaker Drivers Club. He was a dedicated and loving dad who enjoyed taking his sons to car races. He was employed as an electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local No. 456, New Brunswick, for 39 years, retiring in 2000. He was predeceased by his sister, Irene Petersen in 1996. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Pilesky; four sons, Theodore J., Thomas M., Timothy S., and Todd G., all of Howell; two brothers, George Pilesky of Howell, and William Pilesky of Fords; three sisters, Mary Ann Murphy of West Hempstead, Long Island, N.Y., Helen Zsohar of Melbourne, Fla., and Elizabeth Cleveland of Manchester Township; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Interment was private.

DOMINICK A. CERRATO, 71, of Colts Neck, died June 23 at home. Born in Long Branch, he had lived in Freehold before moving to Colts Neck 24 years ago. Mr. Cerrato was a partner in the law firm Cerrato, Dawes, Collins, Saker, Brown and Wilder, Freehold, before retiring 10 years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Mr. Cerrato was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus; past president of the Rotary Club; a founding trustee of CentraState Medical Center; a member of American Legion Post 54; a member of the Friends of the Parks; and a member of the board of directors of the Farm Credit Association. He was involved in the Monmouth Conservation Foundation and was a member of the New Jersey Christmas Tree Growers Association. Mr. Cerrato is survived by his wife, Mary (née DiBenedetto); two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Kathy Cerrato of Freehold Township, and Christopher Cerrato of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter and son-in-law, Marissa and Bret Winters of the Cream Ridge section of Upper Freehold; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Anne and Ted Vick of Mesa, Ariz., Antoinette and Paul Montalbano of Edison, Dorothea and Gene Kelsey of Long Branch, and Marie and Clarence Headden of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
