Oktoberfest at lodge
The New Egypt Elks No. 2457 is holding its first Oktoberfest Oct. 5 (rain date Oct. 6) from 1-6 p.m. at the lodge grounds, 105 Lakewood Road, New Egypt. Traditional German foods will be offered as well as funnel cake and more. Among the other events will be sack races, balloon toss, pumpkin painting, horseshoe tournaments and more. Live music will be provided by Krazy Fingers and Slack. Admission will be $15 adults (18 and up), $10 teens (13-17), $5 children (6-12) and free for under 5 years old.
