Brookdale hosts Tibetan
sand mandala events
The International Center at Brookdale Community College, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown, will hold free "Tibetan sand mandala" events Oct. 29-31 at the school’s center for visual arts.
The creation of the mandala will be Oct. 29-31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. A lecture by the monks will also be offered Oct. 29 from 1:30-2 p.m., as will the lecture "Tibet: The Roof of the World" by Dorothy Reilly, 7-8 p.m.
Monk lectures will also be offered Oct. 30 from 10:30-11 a.m., and 3:30-4 p.m.; and Oct. 31 from 10:30-11 a.m. The sand mandala dismantling ceremony will be Oct. 31 from 3:45-5:30 p.m.
