Holly Forest Ramble slated Nov. 2

The National Park Service, Gateway National Recreation Area will offer a Holly Forest Ramble Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. at Sandy Hook. Attendees should meet at the visitor center.

"Preserving Your New Jersey Artifacts" will be Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. at the education center. A walk to look for late autumn migrating birds will be led by a N.J. Audubon Society naturalist Nov. 9 at 9 a.m., and will commence at the visitor center.

A star watch will be Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. at Sandy Hook auditorium. A car caravan to the Nike missile launch and radar sites will be Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. "Going Bunkers" will be Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. at Fort Hancock Post Theater. Attendees should bring a flashlight. Reservations are required for the tour by a park ranger, and may be made by calling (732) 872-5970.

Three fee programs will be offered during November. A tour of the Hook’s barrier beaches will be Nov. 9 at 9 a.m. It will commence from the bird observatory. For reservations, call (732) 872-2500.
