Art show will return to school Jan. 31, Feb. 1-2

More than 100 professional artists and artisans from all over the northeast are expected at the 28th annual CBA Art Show and Sale which will take place on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1-2 at Christian Brothers Acad-emy, 850 Newman Springs Road, in the Lincroft section of Middletown.

Mediums such as watercolors, oils, photography, sculptures, pottery, woodcarving, jewelry, and furniture will be presented, according to a press release.

Many favored artists are returning from previous years’ shows. To mention a few, Zu Sheng Yu of West Hempstead, N.Y., features large contemporary oils. Ed Hicks from Glastonbury, Conn., focuses on New England scenes. Founder and owner Dale Pilling of I Did it Metal Art Inc. designs hand-crafted sterling jewelry.

A preview party will open the show on Jan. 31 from 7-10 p.m. Artists will mingle with party guests and give all a preview of their work. Tickets for the opening event are $20 per person and can be purchased in advance or that evening. The main gallery of the art show will open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 1-2. Admission is $5 per person.

General admission tickets may be purchased at the door on the day of the art show.
