James Davis

   James H. Davis died Saturday, April 5, at home.
   Born in Grand Rapids, Mich., he resided most of his life in Monroe. Mr. Davis owned Mid Jersey Home Cleaning Service, Spotswood. Prior to that, he worked at several Wall Street brokerage firms. A Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War, he was a former member of the Spotswood American Legion Post 253, as well as several other veterans organizations. He enjoyed bowling, billiards and men’s softball.
   A sister, Patricia, died previously. Surviving are his daughter, Elissa Davis, and his wife, Judy Davis, both of East Brunswick; his mother, Charlene Ortman of Jefferson, Ga.; two sisters and their husbands, Sandra and Billy Jack Gaskins of Commerce, Ga., and Charlotte and Jerry Lane of Danville, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 8 at the Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Cremation will be private.
