Freehold man arrested on fugitive warrants

FREEHOLD — Monmouth County Sheriff Joseph W. Oxley announced that a 26-year-old borough man who is wanted on two state Superior Court warrants was apprehended by the Violent Fugitive Task Force on July 29.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, Duane L. Prince of Factory Street was apprehended at 11:05 a.m. at a residence on Idalia Road, Lakewood, after being charged with failure to appear at an arraignment hearing on robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon charges.

Both warrants, issued in May, were classified as a priority, according to the press release. The arrest was made by Officer David Wentworth with the assistance of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office.

Prince was lodged in the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, with bail set at $50,000 and no 10 percent option.
