Peace Action buses to go to civil rights event in D.C.

The Princeton-based Coalition for Peace Action has reserved buses for those wishing to attend a civil rights march in Washington on Aug. 23. The March for Jobs, Peace & Freedom marks the 40th anniversary of the 1963 march in which Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his historic "I have a Dream" speech.
The march sponsored by the NAACP and National Peace Action, among other groups, will commemorate that historic day and will call for improving civil rights.
Buses will leave from the Community Park North parking lot at 9 a.m. and return at 11 p.m. The cost is $35 roundtrip and scholarships are available. Only those with advance reservations will have guaranteed seats.
Seats can be reserved by visiting www.peacecoalition.org and paying with Visa, MasterCard or American Express, or by calling the coalition office (609) 924-5022 Monday through Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Those who cannot attend, but would like to contribute toward scholarships, also can make a contribution online or call the office.
