There’ll be dancin’ in the streets

StreetLife, a summer-long series of street performances, will continue for three more weeks in downtown Red Bank, where live jazz, blues, pop, rock, folk and classical music performances will take place along Broad, Monmouth and White streets and at the Red Bank Train Station.

At least five musical performances will take place throughout town each Saturday — rain or shine — from 7-10 p.m. and on Sunday, Sept. 7, from noon to 3 p.m. in conjunction with the Red Bank Street Fair. StreetLife is sponsored by Red Bank RiverCenter.

Scheduled to perform on Aug. 23 are: The Wexford Boys, Irish folk duo, 47 Broad; Heart of NJ Choir, Dublin House Courtyard, 30 Monmouth ; Mike Stein, solo classic jazz guitar at The Pepper Shack, 16 White St.; Delta Rays, country blues band, Red Bank train station; Cal Coolidge, solo jazz guitar at Häagen-Dazs, 90 Broad.

Performing Aug. 30 will be: Matt O’ Ree, solo blues guitar, Lace Silhouettes, 65 Broad; Zelda Pinwheel, experimental electronica trio, Dublin House Courtyard, 30 Monmouth St.; Terry Little, solo contemporary musician, If the Shoe Fits, 18 Broad; Nemo, alternative fusion band, Red Bank train station; Sonny Kenn, blues duo, The Pepper Shack, 16 White St.

The line-up for Sept. 7 is: Stormin’ Norman and the Steel Breeze, Red Bank Sleep Shoppe, 25 Broad; Paul & Paul, acoustic guitar & trumpet, Häagen-Dazs, 90 Broad; Michael Gimesi, classic saxophone, Lace Silhouettes, 65 Broad; Miss Sherri, folk trio, Honey Child Music, 73 Monmouth St.; Caroline Cutroneo & James Brennan, folk vocals and guitar duo; The Pepper Shack, 16 White St.
