Kimball foundation names new members

LAKEWOOD — Appointees to Kimball Medical Center’s Foundation are as diverse in their careers as they are unified in their dedication to community interests.

All of the board’s newest members are committed to achieving Kimball Medical Center Foundation’s fund-raising goal of $6 million, earmarked for expansion of the Emergency Department, according to a press release. To date, fund-raising efforts have surpassed $5 million.

"We welcome Mr. Jack Chadwick, Mr. Peter Kitay and Mr. Harvey Klein to the Kimball Medical Center Foundation for three-year terms," said Caryl Russo, vice president, Kimball Medical Center Foundation.

"They join Mr. Nicholas Coppola, who was appointed to the board in January of this year," she said. "All of our appointees bring a wealth of knowledge and business acumen to their roles with the Kimball Medical Center Foundation."

Coppola has a distinguished career in land surveying, environmental services and land planning and his expertise extends from residential to commercial and industrial developments, including adult, assisted living and critical care facilities, according to the press release.

Coppola is well known for his community support, especially through the Boy Scouts of America.

Chadwick has years of experience in the oil business and cellular communications and is currently general manager of Point Bay Fuel in Point Pleasant and Lakewood. He sits on the boards of local banks, charities and business associations and he remains closely tied to the area through church and community organizations. Chadwick lives in Lavallette.

Kitay, a prominent resident of the Lakewood-Jackson community, manages County Line Construction in Jackson. His involvement in charitable and civic organizations includes the Jackson Township Board of Fire Commissioners, the Boys Scouts of America and the physically impaired. He also sits on several boards of local religious, educational and community groups.

Klein, longtime supporter of Kimball Medical Center, has more than a quarter century of manufacturing experience through his business, Red the Uniform Tailor in Toms River. His long-standing dedication to the community stretches from Kiwanis Club to the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, the Ocean County YMCA and Children’s Specialized Hospital. Klein lives in Lakewood.

"The appointees bring years of collective experience to their positions," Russo said. "Their individual histories of achievement and dedication to the community inspire confidence. We welcome them and look forward to their participation on the board of Kimball Medical Center Foundation."
