FRANKLIN A Montgomery bicyclist was injured in a motor vehicle accident late Sunday morning on Route 518 at Canal Road, according to police.
John Bridgen was traveling west on Route 518 when he collided with a 1992 Toyota Camry driven by Elaine Adlett of Rocky Hill. Police said Ms. Adlett was attempting to make a left turn onto Canal Road.
The Rocky Hill Fire Department responded to the scene, and Mr. Bridgen was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was treated for minor injuries and released, police said. Route 518 was closed briefly following the accident but reopened shortly afterward.
Police said the accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
