The Guild of Creative Art, Rte. 35, Shrewsbury, will prdesent "A Creative Gathering," an exhibit of the abstract art by Dolores Ann Ziegler in the main gallery Nov. 1-Dec. 3. A display of "Small Treasures" will be locate in the lobby and a show of works by artists juried in as new exhibiting artists of the Guild will take place in the studio. Sinatra fans can indulge their passion for Ol’ Blue Eyes through a three-session program offered by the Business and Community Development arm of Brookdale Community College in Lincroft.

"Perfectly Frank: A Celebration of the Music of Frank Sinatra" will be presented Tuesdays, Nov. 25-Dec. 9, 7-9:30 p.m. at the BCC Wall campus.

Mike Barris, an entertainer and Sinatra aficionado, will discuss what made Sinatra one of the greatest popular singers of the 20th century. Extensive recordings and videos of both the young and mature Sinatra will enhance the program. The fee is $53. For information and to register, call (732) 224-2315.

Is the Brookdale Performing Arts Theater really haunted by a ghost from the Battle of Monmouth?

During their retreat from the Battle of Monmouth, British forces passed through the area that today is the BCC campus. Could the ghost of one of these soldiers be haunting the theater? There have been sightings of the specter of a man in uniform in the theater late at night.

On Oct. 30 and 31, at 6 p.m., the college’s annual Haunted Theater returns with a historical prospective. Visitors will be welcomed by creepy, unearthly forms to an inside guided ghost fest. Tickets are $5. For reservations and ticket information call the box office at (732) 224-2411.

Aspiring actors are invited to audition for the Brookdale Performing Arts Center (PAC) production of Student One-Acts Festival. Audition dates are Oct. 27 and 28 at 6 p.m. The PAC Ex­perimental Theater will host the audi­tions. Performers will be asked to read from a script. An estimated 15 males and 15 females will be cast in the pro­duction which will consist of 11 short plays, 10 to 15 minutes in length, di­rected by students in the stage direct­ing class. The Shore Institute of Contemporary Arts will host its Second Annual Art Auction Nov. 14, 6:30-9 p.m. The event, a fund-raiser for SICA, will take place at the art organization’s new facility at 20 Third Ave., Long Branch. The sug­gested donation is $30, $25 for mem­bers. SICA is a nonprofit dedicated to the exhibition of, and education about, the contemporary arts in New Jersey. It will be housed in the former Lincoln Can Manufacturing Co. building, which will be renovated to provide ex­hibition space, a cafe, artists’ studios and classrooms. The auction will be­gin at 7:45 p.m. and will include more than 100 artworks and other items. A meet-the-artists reception will take place 6:30-7:45 p.m. A martini sam­pling bar will be provided by The Mix lounge and entertainment will be by Joe Accurso, leader of the Brookdale Big Band.
