I am not connected to any veterans organization nor am I a veteran. I am a mother, and I cannot understand the insensitivity of the Old Bridge Township Board of Education ("School District Defends Veterans Day Classes," Suburban, Nov. 6).
We are presently in a situation where our boys are risking their lives daily, and the board is quibbling about the school assembly programs.
Suggestion: Have the programs the day before and put Veterans Day where it belongs, as a day set aside for remembering past and present veterans and for celebrating this day to its fullest extent.
