• Penny Carnival, a family partnership fund-raiser, sponsored by the Sayreville/South Amboy Girl Scouts, 7:30-9:30 p.m., at Eisenhower School, Ernston Road, Parlin section of Sayreville. Cost is $1 for admission, 5 cents per game.

• Uniform sale, sponsored by the Raritan Bay Medical Center Old Bridge Auxiliary, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Auxiliary Hall at the hospital’s Old Bridge division, off Ferry Road, between routes 9 and 18. Proceeds benefit radiation oncology at the medical center. (732) 324-5006.

• Fish fry, sponsored by Jamesburg Elks No. 2180, 5-8 p.m., at the lodge, 74 W. Railroad Ave. Seafood, salad bar, dessert will be offered. Takeout orders available. (732) 521-2180.

• Mardi Gras Night, sponsored by the Jamesburg Area Chamber of Commerce, 6-10 p.m., at the Jamesburg Knights of Columbus, 83 Lincoln Ave. Hot buffet, beer, wine, soda, DJ, games, prizes. Additional spirits available at cash bar.

All welcome. Participants encouraged to come in costume or "dress-to-impress" attire. • Italian Spaghetti Dinner, sponsored by Girl Scouts from the Delaware Raritan Girl Scout Council, beginning at 6 p.m., at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Leonardine Avenue, South River. Two seatings — 6-7 p.m., 7-8 p.m. Cost is $7 per person, $5 for children age 12 and under. Proceeds go toward a Girl Scout trip to Italy planned for July. Call Diane Nale at (732) 651-2202.

Students and several administrators model formal prom gowns and tuxedos. Door prizes, re­freshments, prom dress raffles. Admission is $7 at the door. All pro­ceeds benefit senior scholarships.
