The Middlesex Regional Chamber of Commerce (MCRCC) will present a panel discussion on "The Rising Costs of Healthcare" June 25 from 8:30-11 a.m. at DeVry University, Route 1, North Brunswick (registration begins at 8 a.m.). Tickets include continental breakfast and are $40 at the door, $35 for nonmembers and $25 for members.

Panel members are Jim Leonard, vice president of the New Jersey State Cham­ber of Commerce, Michele Guhl, presi­dent of the New Jersey Association of Health Plans, and Ron Czajkowski, vice president of the New Jersey Hospital As­sociation.

Topics include cost manage­ment, and business responsibilities with regard to healthcare and new legislation.

Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy, has announced vascular surgeon Jennifer R. Syrek, MD, has set up an of­fice at 53 Main St., Sayreville. The Franklin Township resident is the only vascular surgeon stationed in the bor­ough, and will also maintain an office at 78 Easton Ave., New Brunswick, as part of Central Jersey Surgical Specialists.

Syrek is affiliated with both the Old Bridge and Perth Amboy divisions of Raritan Bay Medical Center. She re­ceived her medical degree at the Univer­sity of Medicine and Dentistry/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Camden; and her undergraduate degree at Rutgers College, New Brunswick. A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, she is board certified in both general and vascu­lar surgery.
