Gloria Zastko, Realtors, North Brunswick, has announced agent and Zastko’s son, Andrew Zastko, recently received the New Jersey Association of Realtors Circle of Excellence Platinum Award for the second consecutive year. The award is the highest real estate award given in the state.

A 16-year real estate veteran, the North Brunswick resident also received the Middlesex County President’s Award in 2003, his 12th consecutive year. During 2003, Zastko sold and closed in excess of $37 million worth of real estate.

Zastko Realtors also announced the addition of Janice Rak to the firm. Prior to joining the firm, she worked at a local Century 21 office. The North Brunswick resident received her bachelor of science degree at DeVry University, North Brunswick, and an associate’s degree at Middlesex County College.

The New Jersey State Bar Foundation has announced William G. Brigiani, South Brunswick, has been reappointed as a trustee. A partner with the East Brunswick law firm of Brigiani, Cohen & Schneider, is the ex-president of the Middlesex County Bar Association and Foundation, as well as host of Middlesex County’s "Law on the Line" series.

Brigiani is also active with the bar foundation’s mock trial programs, and is a member of its program development committee and court-night sub-committee. His awards include the Lawyer of the Year Award and David Pavlovski Service Award from the Middlesex County Bar Association, New Jersey Police Benevolent Association Silver Life Membership Award, and Police Honor Legion Citizen of the Month.

Brigiani is a graduate of Dartmouth (N.H.) College, and received his law degree at Rutgers Law School, Newark. He also served with the reserves in the U.S. Navy for 10 years, attaining the rank of lieutenant commander.

Bristol-Myers Squibb, Princeton, recently made $136,000 in contributions in recognition of National Safety Month during June. The contributions will enable six township and two county organizations to purchase equipment and materials to support the organizations’ efforts.

Area emergency services receiving contributions were North Brunswick Fire Department, North Brunswick First Aid Squad and Middlesex County Office of Emergency Management. Among the equipment to be purchased will be a chief’s vehicle, rescue and radio equip­ment, thermal-imaging software and de­fibrillators.

George S. Elghossain recently joined the Weichert, Realtors’ East Brunswick office as a sales associate.

Licensed in 1978, Elghossain earned a broker’s license in 1986 and is an instructor with Weichert Real Estate School in East Brunswick.

A longtime resident of North Brunswick, he received a bachelor’s degree in business finance from Loyola College in Maryland, Baltimore.

The Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce (MCRCC) has an­nounced Freehold resident William R. Hagaman Jr. has been named its chair­man of the board for 2004-05. Hagaman is a certified public accountant and shareholder at WithumSmith & Brown (WS&B), New Brunswick. He has served as MCRCC’s treasurer for nine years.

He has more than 25 years’ public ac­counting experience and is shareholder-in-charge at WS&B’s New Brunswick of­fice. Hagaman received his bachelor’s de­gree in accounting at Richard Stockton State College of New Jersey, Pomona.
