William "Billy" Evans

Mr. Evans, 44, of East Brunswick died June 11 at home. He was a 1978 graduate of East Brunswick High School. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, John Golla. He is survived by his parents, Linda and James Colleton of Monroe Township; four brothers, Barry Evans of Old Bridge, Robert Evans of Bakersfield, Calif., Craig Evans of Orlando, Fla., and James Colleton of Roosevelt; his maternal grandmother, Helen Golla of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews. Interment was at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. Arrangements were by Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home, East Brunswick.

William Francis Nelson

Mr. Nelson, 78, of Manalapan died June 13 at home. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, South America, he lived in Roselle before moving to Manalapan five years ago. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife, Eileen Nelson; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Timothy of St. Louis, Mo., Raymond and Denise of Manalapan, Michael and Myrne of Jackson, Brian and Connie of Piscataway, and Dale and Mitchell of Scotch Plains; a daughter and son-in-law, Norma and James Dunne of Somerset; two brothers, Rudolph Desouza of Hartford, Conn., and Vincent Gabriel of Georgetown, Guyana; a sister, Theresa Alleyne of Georgetown, Guyana; and 15 grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at Hollywood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Union. Mrs. DiDia, 71, of Freehold Township died June 17 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Newark, she had lived in Belleville and Howell before moving to Freehold Township earlier this month. Mrs. DiDia was a cook at Georgian Court College (now University), Lakewood, for 20 years, before retiring in 1999. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Farmingdale. She was predeceased by her husband, Baldassare, in 1993. Surviving are two sons, Salvatore DiDia of Jackson and Anthoardner of Woodbridge, Sharon Iorio of Freehold Township; a sister, Anna Carom of Ringoes; and six grandchildren. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Catherine of Siena Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Vona officiating. Interment followed at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. The C.H.T. Frances Eleanor Hampton

Mrs. Hampton, 85, of Manalapan died June 17 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in New York City, she had lived in Stony Point, N.Y., for 30 years before moving to Manalapan six months ago. Mrs. Hampton was a supervisor for the state of New York in Stony Point. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan. She was a member of the Leisure Club and the Stony Point Senior Citizens. Mrs. Hampton was predeceased by her husband, George. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Anthony Morelli of Manalapan, and Kathleen and Gerard Cole of Cape Coral, Fla.; a sister, Theresa Howe Nester of Springhill, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Thomas More Church. The Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.
