Plumsted seeks entries for photo contest

PLUMSTED — The Plumsted Town-ship Council for the Arts is encouraging local photographers to enter its photo contest. Photos should be of the Plumsted landscape or of the immediate surrounding area. The photos should capture what living here means to the individual.

All photos should be 8×10 inches, color or black and white, and suitable for exhibition. The photos must be mounted or framed, and labeled on the back with the following information: name of photographer, address, telephone number, title of image, and approximate date and location the photo was taken.

Photos must be accompanied by an official entry form. Forms can be picked up at the Plumsted Township municipal clerk’s office, 121 Evergreen Road; the Plumsted library, Evergreen Road; or by calling the arts council at (609) 758-2241, ext., 144.

Submissions must be post-marked or date-stamped by the municipal clerk’s office by Sept. 10. Entries should be dropped off or mailed to Plumsted Town-ship Council for the Arts c/o Plumsted Township Council Municipal Clerk’s Office, 121 Evergreen Road, New Egypt 08533.

Judging will take place during the month of September. Photos will be on display at 31 Main St., New Egypt (the former municipal building) Oct. 2, during the Fall Harvest Arts and Crafts Festival. The public is encouraged to attend and cast a vote for a special People’s Choice Award.

After Oct. 2, the exhibit will move to the library where it will be on display.
