Senior adults are invited to join the Academy for Lifelong Learning at Ocean County College (OCC), Sept. 18, on a cruise of the Toms River aboard the River Lady. Register now.
Christopher Colavito will provide narrative about the area and its history. Attendees will explore and examine the history of the Toms River and the communities along its banks. An overview of the history of the various yacht clubs that dot the shore will be included.
Colavito is a lifelong resident of Ocean County and has a master’s degree in American history from Monmouth University, West Long Branch. He has traveled throughout New Jersey and has read extensively of its history.
The cost for tickets is $25 per person. Coffee and danish will be provided. Boarding begins at 8:45 a.m. and the cruise leaves the dock promptly at 9 a.m. Call (732) 255-0404.
