Volunteers sought for Kimball’s thrift shop

  • Kimball Medical Center’s Foundation thrift shop, Lots for Little, Lakewood, needs volunteers and day managers. According to the press release, retirees with retail experience are ideal people to have join the thrift shop family. Proceeds from the thrift shop support the Kimball Medical Center Foundation, which funds healthcare improvements and expansions for Kimball Medical Center. The shops are staffed with volunteers providing members of the community with an opportunity to donate “almost new” items for area residents to shop for clothing, household items and furniture at reasonable prices. Members of the Kimball Medical Center Foundation Auxiliary Units and the surrounding communities show their support for the shops by volunteering as managers, markers and cashiers. Volunteers are asked to contribute four hours per week; however, there is an opportunity for volunteers to contribute as many hours as they can. Call (732) 886-4148 for an application.
