The Catholic Parish of St. Aloysius is planning a Cross Planting ceremony Dec. 12, following the noon Mass.
The Cross Planting is being organized by the Capital Campaign Committee, headed by co-chairs Joe and Jean Nappa, Tom Barchie, and Tom and Lisa Hogan. St. Aloysius is currently raising funds to build a new worship space. The “planting” or erecting of a replica cross on the church grounds will mark the spot on which the new altar is to be built. The commemoration will include a procession, a short prayer ceremony and light refreshments. St. Aloysius is located at 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. All are welcome. Details: (732) 370-0500.
