The Middlesex-Somerset Chapter of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) will hold a dinner meeting from 6-8:30 p.m. on Jan. 31 at O’Connor’s Beef ’N Chowder House, Amwell Road, Somerset section of Franklin.

Topic will be “Secrets to Smarter Networking: How To Increase Profitability Through Networking.” Guest speaker will be business owner and author Liz Lynch, president of Consult Ad Hoc Inc., a profit-advisory firm. Lynch also is the author of “102 Secrets to Smarter Networking.”

Iris Dillon, a business owner with 20 years’ experience in promotion and marketing in the music industry, will also offer a presentation.

The Chambers of Commerce of East Brunswick; Metuchen; Old Bridge, Sayreville and South Amboy; Perth Amboy; Piscataway; Somerset County; and Woodbridge will present the fifth annual “Bizmania 2005” May 2 from noon-6:30 p.m. The networking and food-tasting event will be at the New Jersey Conference and Exposition Center, 97 Sunfield Ave., Edison. The Chambers are seeking food vendors and restaurants to take part and provide food samples, as well as local businesses to showcase products and services. Table reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are free to attendees and may be obtained at any of the above chamber’s offices.
