Designer handbag, coat sale at Kimball Feb. 14

  • The Renaissance Auxiliary Unit of the Kimball Medical Center Foundation will sponsor a designer handbag and coat sale at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood, on Feb. 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. S. Waxler Enterprises will be offering a variety of Nine West and Jones of New York handbags and coats. All proceeds from sale will benefit the Kimball Medical Center Foun-dation.   • Elks to host handicapped

    children’s charity ball

    Lakewood Elks Lodge 1432, 711 West Kennedy Blvd., Lakewood, will be hosting it’s annual Handicapped Children’s Charity Ball on Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. This is the lodge’s largest fund-raiser of the year, which is open to members and qualified guests. Proceeds from the event will benefit Elks handicapped children’s projects, such as sending children to Camp Moore in the summer, and providing equipment to improve the children’s quality of life. It will also be an opportunity for members and guests to meet this year’s poster child. Tickets for the event are $50 per person, and will include an open bar, shrimp cocktail, filet mignon or boneless chicken dinner, and a dessert table. Music will be provided by Ed Smith and The Funk Doctors. There will be a van for transportation home. Tickets are available at the lodge or by calling (732) 363-9572.
