LAKEWOOD — Bargain shoppers, treasure hunters, and antique collectors of all kinds will be making their way to FirstEnergy Park, home of the Lakewood BlueClaws. The BlueClaws are teaming up with Garden State Flea Market to offer area residents a place to shop this summer.
Every Friday this year FirstEnergy Park at New Hampshire and Cedar Bridge avenues will be the home of the Garden State Flea Market. The flea market will run from May 6 through Dec. 23 and be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 20 is the only Friday the flea market will not be open at FirstEnergy Park.
“This is just another great way for us to use such a remarkable facility as FirstEnergy Park year round,” BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown said. “We have a tremendous parking lot that makes it ideal for such an event as the Garden State Flea Market.”
The Garden State Flea Market will offer free admission and will feature a variety of booths, vendors and products for people to browse. Food vendors will also be on hand. For information on the Garden State Flea Market or for information on being a vendor call (732) 995-5203.
The Lakewood BlueClaws season is under way and features many promotions as the team celebrates its fifth anniversary. Among them this year, children 12 and under eat free on every Monday home game.
