Air Force Airman Alexander D. Weiler, son of Alexander Weiler of Old Bridge, recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches; received instruction in physical training, rifle marksmanship and human relations; and took part in field training exercises. Weiler is a 2005 graduate of Sayreville War Memorial High School.
Army National Guard Sgt. Vedasto F. Masana, whose wife, Zenaida, is the daughter of Norma T. Cueno of Old Bridge, recently returned to the United States after being deployed to an overseas forward-operating location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The sergeant is a mechanic assigned to the 145th Maintenance Company, the Bronx, N.Y.
