Former U.S. Rep. Leach to give talk on leadership

   PENNINGTON — Former U.S. Rep. Jim Leach of Iowa, a visiting professor at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School and a Princeton graduate, will speak on "The State of American Leadership" Wednesday at the Pennington School.
   With a record of fiscal conservatism and social moderation, Leach is best known as the former chairman of the House Banking and Financial Services Committee.
   According to Pennington resident, Cosmo Iacavazzi, who attended Princeton with Mr. Leach, "This will be a great opportunity for area residents to hear some astute observations about public policy decision making at the national level."Commentary from a panel which includes State Sen. Leonard Lance, State Chamber of Commerce President Joan Verplanck, and GOP State Chairman Tom Wilson will follow Mr. Leach’s talk. Members of the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions of Mr. Leach and the panel.
   The May 2 event, scheduled for 7:30 p.m., is free and open to the public. It will be held in the Stainton Hall Lecture Center at Pennington School where parking is available. Those wishing to attend should call (609) 737-7361.
