Two Rowan University chemical engineering student posters received awards during the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference held April 21 at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. In the poster competition, senior Laura Kuczynski, of Sayreville, placed second for her poster “Removal of Soluble Palladium Complexes From Reaction Mixtures using Fixed Bed Adsorption.” Juniors Chris Fable, of Freehold, and John Manganaro, of Monroeville, and sophomore Michael Raymond of Burlington, finished third for their poster, “Catalytic Activity of Co-doped SiO2, TiO2 catalysts for Fischer Tropsch Reactions.”
Michael Andrew Ackley and Riana Beth Ackley, both of Freehold, have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of North Carolina, Asheville.
Hayley Jill Berman of Freehold has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Pratt at Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute, an extension center campus of Pratt Institute, Utica, N.Y.
Jason Fried of Manalapan has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Brookdale Community Col-lege, Lincroft.
Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa., has awarded degrees to the following local students: Daniel S. Cocco, Joseph T. Pepe, Matthew M. DiMaggio, and Danielle R. Estremera, all from Free-hold; Travis J. Eisemann and Jason S. Zeller, both of Manalapan; and Thomas J. Zubulake of Marlboro.
Providence College, Providence, R.I., has awarded undergraduate degrees to the following local students: Carolyn Rider of Freehold received a bachelor of arts in elementary/special education; and Mark Tinio of Freehold received a bachelor of science in finance.
Christie M. Feraudo of Freehold has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Sacred Heart Univer-sity, Fairfield, Conn.
Catherine Engleman, daughter of Cathy and Mark Engleman of Freehold, has graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in accounting from Cedar Crest College, Allentown, Pa. A dean’s list student, she was inducted into Psi Chi honor society.
Erica V. Ducore of Englishtown, daughter of Michael Ducore and Cynthia King, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa. She is a graduate of Manalapan High School.
Erin Brogan, daughter of Ellen and Michael P. Brogan of Manalapan, graduated from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude. Brogan has been named to the dean’s list for all semesters at Notre Dame. She is a French major and is president of the French Club at Notre Dame. Brogan is a 2003 graduate of Manalapan High School.
Corey J. Schwitz, son of Mark and Lynne Schwitz of Manalapan, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Bucknell University, Lewis-burg, Pa. He is a 2006 graduate of Manalapan High School.
