‘What Does My Vote Mean?’ next up at library

Jane Junn, associate professor at the Eagleton Institute of Politics and the Department of Political Science at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, will offer a presentation titled “What Does My Vote Mean?” at 7 p.m. on April 14 at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center.

The discussion, which will focus on state primaries, the difference between the popular vote and the electoral college and other election year topics, is parent of the library’s Get out the Vote lecture series.

Junn is the co-author of two books, “Civic Education: What Makes Students Learn and Education and Demographic Citizenship in America.” Her primary interests are political participation and elections in the U.S., political behavior and attitudes among American minorities and immigrants, theories of democracy, survey research and social science methodology.
