H.S. girls wanted for summer engineering camp

Middlesex County College is looking for participants to attend a summer camp program for high school freshman girls. TechXporation, is a four-week program in which teen girls design, develop and construct a working model of a fairgrounds ride, visit a theme park to better understand how amusement park rides work and learn from women who are working in engineering fields.

There is no charge for the camp.

The camp is intended for freshman girls about to enter their sophomore year of high school and will take place July 7 through Aug. 1. It is being organized by the College and will be held at Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics and Engineering Technologies on the Middlesex County College Edison campus.

This project is supported by the National Science Foundation to address the underrepresentation of women in the technical workforce.
