Mrs. Altruda, 94, a resident of Monroe for 15 years, died Sept. 15, 2008, at McCarrick Care Center, Somerset. She had been a seamstress for Glo-More Frocks, Woodhaven, N.Y., for 10 years before her retirement. Her husband, Liguori, died in 1992. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Ronald Kraska of Kings Park, N.Y.; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Betty Altruda of Manalapan; a sister, Maria Pracilio of Bronx, N.Y, and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Old Bridge, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. Memorial donations may be made to the Brookwood Community, Attn: Rick DeMunbrun, 1752 FM 1489, Brookshire, TX 77423. Arrangements were by the Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home, East Brunswick.
