Dance-a-thon to benefit foundation

Quo Vadis, the student newspaper at Middlesex County College, will sponsor a dance-a-thon with the Prodigal Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Woodbridge, to benefit children affected by cancer. It will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 17 in the College Center on the Edison campus.

The college radio station will provide music, and Apryl Evans, a local artist, will perform. The event is appropriate for all ages; children are welcome.

The money raised will help the Prodigal Foundation’s efforts in enhancing the quality of life of children affected by cancer. Part of the money raised that night will go to a local hospital’s oncology department. The rest is going to a family in Middlesex County whose child is affected by cancer. They are in severe financial need.

Tickets for students with valid IDs will range from $15 to $25; general admission ranges from $25 to $35 for individuals and $100-$350 for businesses. They can be purchased through Quo Vadis at www.quovadisnewspaper.com.

All packages include admission, dancing, food and refreshments. Any package $25 and over will include raffle tickets, which may also be purchased separately once inside the dance.
