Mr. Kowalczyk, 36, of New Egypt and formerly of Jackson, died Feb. 11, 2009, at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. A graduate of the New York Military Academy in Cornwallon Hudson, N.Y., he served in the U.S. Navy and was vice president for Integrity Roofing Service in Rahway. Mr. Kowalczyk was an avid drag racer at Atco and Englishtown raceways in New Jersey and many other racetracks throughout the country. He was a member of the National Mustang Racing Association. Son of the late Alfred Kowalczyk, he is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Kowalczyk, and a brother, Tom Kowalczyk, both of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.; his girlfriend, Donna Shapiro of New Egypt; and many friends. Funeral services were held at the Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt. Interment was private. Memorial donations may be made to the Michael J.
