FLORENCE: Police Beat from the May 14 edition

   Three Roebling residents were charged in April with violations relating to a drug distribution investigation, officials said.
   At 9 a.m. April 28, the Detective Division of Florence Township plice, the Burlington County posecutor’s office and the New Jersey State Police TEAMS Unit searched a residence on the 100 block of Fourth Ave., Roebling, , police said.
   Douglas Ridgeway, 19, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, as well as tampering with evidence and four counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, two for brass knuckles and two for a knife.
   In the same incident, Melissa Lamson, 30, who does not reside at the property, and Dawn Ridgeway, 44, Mr. Ridgeway’s mother, were both charged with possession of fewer than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
   Mr. Ridgeway was sent to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail, while Ms. Lamson and Ms. Ridgeway were released pending court appearances.
   Mr. Ridgeway was also charged with possession of fewer than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of a CDS with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone; possession of a CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park.

   Jene T. Tate, 21, of Willingboro, was charged Monday with forgery and falsifying documents. Police said they received a phone call from Boyd’s Pharmacy on Broad Street at 1:35 p.m. reporting a woman with a fraudulent prescription. Police determined the woman was doing a friend a favor and did not know the prescription was false.
   Investigation revealed Ms. Tate falsified the prescription and asked her friend to bring it in, police said. Police also discovered three warrants in Ms. Tate’s name totaling $4,522 from Burlington Township. She was sent to Burlingotn County Jail in lieu of $14,522 bail.

   Sami A. Uthman, 42 of Burlington Township, was charged May 6 with theft, criminal attempt and criminal trespass.
   Police said they responded to the Fountain of Life Church, on Burlington-Columbus Road, at 10:43 p.m. May 4 on a report of someone trying to steal a John Deere Gator utility vehicle. Police said a witness provided them with a description of the vehicle, including some information about the license plate, as well as of the person who tried to steal the vehicle.
   Police said a follow-up investigation led to Mr. Uthman’s arrest at 6:45 p.m. May 6 at the Police Department. He was released on $20,000 cash bail.
