The Atlantic Brass Band will help celebrate Ranney School’s 50th anniversary 8-10 p.m. Oct. 30 at the school’s Panther Hall, Hope Road, Tinton Falls. The program will pair Ranney students from grades four-12 and professional musicians, and is the first time the band will perform in Monmouth County. Ranney students will join the band in the program’s finale, “Classics in Brass,” featuring music by Beethoven and Bach, “1812 Overture,” and music from the film, “2001: A Space Odyssey.” The Atlantic Brass Band is in its 25th year and performs solo performances, small ensemble works, and a selection from opera, jazz, ragtime, Broadway and movie soundtracks.
