The spring 2010 Milltown Baseball Minor and Major Leagues in-person registration will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 22 above the Major League snack stand. Tryouts will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 24 at the MilltownBorough Park Major League Field Complex. Rain date is Oct. 25.
Children must wear a protective cup, baseball pants, hat and cleats in order to participate in the tryouts, as well as bring a baseball glove, batting helmet and bat.
T-Ball/Midget League (5, 6, 7-year-olds): For children at least 5 years old as of April 30, 2010. This is an instructional league that includes coach pitch, use of a tee, safety baseballs and modified baseball rules. No tryouts required.
Minor League (7-, 8-, 9-, 10-, 11-year-olds): For children 7 years old as of April 30, 2010. If the child is 8 years old or older as of April 30, 2010, no tryout is necessary. Children pitch and follow little league baseball rules.
Major League (9-, 10-, 11-, 12-year-olds): For children 9 years old as of April 30, 2010. If the child played in the Major League last spring or will be 12 years old as ofApril 30, 2010, season, no tryout is necessary.
Junior/Senior League (13-, 14-, 15-, 16- year-olds): If the child is 13 years or older as of April 30, 2010, he/she is eligible to play in the Senior League. No tryouts required.
Indicate on the form what league the child is interested in and if a tryout is required. Return completed registrations at the in-person registration or mail completed form and check to P.O Box 101, Milltown, NJ 08850. The deadline date is Oct. 22. Parents will be contacted with the child’s tryout time slot.
