A variety of activities and events will take place during December at the South River Office on Aging/Senior Center, 55 Reid St. The center is open 9:45 a.m.-3 p.m., Mondays Fridays, but will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 to mark the Christmas holiday.
The schedule is as follows:
• fitness room — 9:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Mondays-Fridays;
• light-chair exercise classes — 10 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays;
• haircuts — 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Wednesdays;
• “Travel Fitness” — 11 a.m., Dec. 15;
• SHIP (State Health Insurance assistance Program) Medicare counseling — Dec. 16, by appointment;
• movie matinee, “Meet Me in St. Louis” — 11 a.m. Dec. 21;
• wellness clinic — Dec. 22, by appointment;
• Birthday Party — 11 a.m., Dec. 29.
