RED BANK — The borough is seeking a replacement for its longtime borough clerk, Carol Vivona.
While there has been no public announcement made regarding Vivona’s recent retirement, advertisements are running in local newspapers seeking her replacement.
Councilman Michael DuPont said Pamela Borghi, one of the borough’s deputy clerks, is temporarily filling in as borough clerk. Bonnie Thomas is the borough’s other deputy clerk.
“We’re going to advertise and get résumés. Then the Personnel Committee will review them and send a recommendation to the mayor and council,” DuPont explained during an interview on Dec. 4. Neither he nor Borghi could say how many years Vivona had served.
Council members Edward Zipprich, Juanita Lewis and DuPont compose the personnel committee.
Following the personnel committee meeting on Dec. 3, DuPont said they have yet to discuss salary requirements for the vacant position.
A

for the position must have a municipal clerk’s
certification and a minimum
