Greater Media wants to fuel the holiday spirit by providing good music and a way to help the hungry at Greater Media’s Good Samaritan Holiday Bash to be held Dec. 13 at the Stone Pony, 913 Ocean Ave., Asbury Park.
Proceeds and nonperishable food donations will benefit the Samaritan Center, a food pantry headquartered in Manalapan that has been helping families from Englishtown, Millstone Township, Manalapan and Marlboro for 25 years.
The Samaritan Center, which is totally dependent on the generosity of others to keep it running, has been struggling to keep its shelves stocked due to an increase in the number of families in need.
The Dec. 13 event at the Stone Pony will feature The Reveling, with drummer Jay Weinberg, just back from touring with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, plus popular bands Locksley, Radiant Illusion, Hollywood Help, Lunch Hour Six Pack and Almost There, and vocalists Lauriana Mae, Jackie Hlavenka and Casey Rochelle.
Fans of the popular cover band Mission Dance will be glad to see Lee Deedmeyer and Melissa Diamond from the band performing an acoustic set.
WRAT-FM DJ Gotts is expected to cohost the event with local DJ Sean McCaffrey.
