Eatontown Playhouse, 37-13 Route 35 north, Eatontown, will present “Lover and Other Strangers,” Jan. 8-31. Performances are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $20, and $15 for seniors and students, and includes coffee, cake and cookies.

The two-part teen program for grades six- 12, “Mardi Gras Mask Madness” will be held at Ocean Township Library, 701 Deal Road, Ocean, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Jan. 23, and 6-7 p.m. Jan. 27. Attendees will sculpt a mask in the first session, and paint and embellish the mask in the second session. All materials will be provided. Registration is required and may be done at the library or by calling the library at 732-531-5092.

The Long Branch Concordance (LBC) family success center has received a $5,000 grant from The Investors Savings Bank Foundation, Long Branch, to support the LBC’s education and outreach efforts. The Concordance offers educational programs for new parents, including workshops on nutrition, household finances and budgets, and classes on such topics as parent education. The grant will help defray costs for personnel and materials associated with the initiatives.

Ocean Township Hadassah will present “Healthy Living” 7:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at Axelrod Performing Arts Center, 100 Grant Ave., Deal. Health experts will discuss the latest in cardiovascular health, diet, nutrition and exercise. SCAN Learning Center, Monmouth Mall, Eatontown, is offering a 10-week special TV production class for individuals age 50 and older noon-2 p.m. Fridays, beginning Jan. 15. Attendees will be able to enrich their interest in TV or the theater during the course. The class will include instruction and hands-on studio activities. Participants will create shows that will be broadcast to more than 450,000 homes in Monmouth and Ocean counties. The first two classes may be taken without having to make a commitment.
