A Basketball Free Throw Contest, sponsored by the St. Augustine Council Knights of Columbus, will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 8 in the St.Augustine School gymnasium, 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park. The contest is open to both boys and girls, ages 10-14. Winners may advance to a district competition with the potential to continue even further onto regional and state contests. Sky Blue FC will open its 2010 campaign against the Chicago Red Stars at Yurcak Field on Sunday, April 11. Individual ticket sales are now available for the opener. Additionally, Sky Blue FC currently has a special holiday season ticket package starting as low as $99, as well as four and 10- game flex packages. The Blue Jays Baseball Club will hold its seventh annual exhibition series near Cooperstown for high school varsity players in the spring of 2010.
