Afire at 2:36 a.m. Tuesday morning in a home on Finnegans Lane in North Brunswick left one man fatally injured. As of press time, officials had not revealed the identity of the victim because his family had not yet been notified.
According to police Lt. Roger Reinson,
call came in reporting that a lot of smoke was coming from the house, at which time fire and police were directed to the scene.
Fire companies from North Brunswick, Kendall Park, New Brunswick and East Brunswick responded to the scene. The fire was extinguished around 3:30 a.m.
Finnegans Lane between Route 1 and Route 27 was shut down but was reopened several hours later.
