Mr. Strauss, 96, of Freehold, died Dec. 1, 2009, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Germany, he came to the United States with his wife and son in 1954. Mr. Strauss was predeceased by his wife, Emma, in 2004. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Wolfgang and Pauline of Manalapan; a grandson, Robert and his wife, MaryJane, and their daughter, Amy, of Howell; and a granddaughter, Linda Strauss of Jackson. Interment was private. Arrangements were under the direction of the Freeman Funeral Home, Manalapan.
