Mrs. Herczeg, 82, of the Morganville section of Marlboro and more recently of Jackson, died Dec. 27, 2009, at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick. She was a seamstress, having been employed at various companies in the Monmouth County area for 20 years, retiring in 1992. Mrs. Herczeg was a communicant of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Joseph L. Herczeg, in 2002; five brothers; two sisters; and a son-in-law, Robert A. Koerner. Surviving are two daughters, Laura Herczeg of Englishtown and Patricia Herczeg of Jackson; a brother, Joseph Orenczak Sr. of Clark; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, with committal at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311. Arrangements were by the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge.
